Me and my husband went again last night. We made a reservation and dined in before the show this time. The food was AMAZING. Better than expected from a comedy club. The Jumbalya Croquettes appetizer was mouth watering good. The bread served prior to the meal was unique in a flower pot. My husband had a burger and I had the spicy chicken sandwich, both very good. Service was quick until the end our waitress got swamped and we waited quite awhile for our check and a box, but they were busy I don't hold that against her. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Being a former waitress I saw a lot of team work going on. The guy hostess specifically was super helpful and friendly. He stopped at every table and asked how they were doing and he made sure we all got seated, especially those of us whom had been waiting quite awhile for our checks. The show was fabulous. Steve Byrne was the headliner. He did a great job! His laugh was contagious and he sincerely wanted everyone to have a good night out. The host was eh so so, but KCs Brad Ellis whom was on before Steve was hysterical. We free received tickets to go back next week. I think we will do that! Side Note: The kitchen ran out of boxes and cheesecake! I had to leave with a plate wrapped in plastic wrap LOL and I had to stop at HyVee for some cake since I was now craving it. It's ok tho, we are easy people to please. However, next time I am hoping for a box and cheesecake! Haha

Not as cool as the original in West Port but great location. Drinks were good and I really enjoyed the outdoor music and karaoke after the show. Comedy was great and it was a lot of fun. They were very accommodating.

Food Disgusting, Though Comedy Good. If you visit this place, go for the comedy, not for the food. Met friends here for an evening of food and comedy. Out of all four of us, none liked the food. The price of the food was outrageous considering how disgusting it was. I had the Cajun shrimp pasta something that was over cooked shrimp with a buffalo wing sauce with cream. I'm not sure what buffalo wing sauce has to do with Cajun food. My wife had the non orange, orange over cooked shrimp which was barely edible. Also, an 18% gratuity was added to our bill which was well over what our service was.

Went to Stanford's Comedy Club tonight to see Eddie Ifft. Got up and walked out when he started using hate speech about the trans community. Not jokes, no punch lines, just hate. I'm also surprised Stanford's and Comedy Central Stand-Up supports someone who openly expresses hatred toward trans people during their acts. Disappointed in the members of the audience that laughed during this expression of hatred.

Went to the Murder Mystery Co dinner on a groupon. Let me tell you, don't believe the deceptive reviews on Groupon that rate this place more than 90%. This place sucks. It was boring and necessitates a lot of social interaction and requires you to ask people a lot of questions to "piece the clues". The food is bland. It reminds me of nursing home food. And not the good nursing homes... In summary, not worth going to

The 411 on my visit: IMO the best way to show customer service is to fix the mistake immediately and Stanfords stepped up earning a 4 star rating for that. My gf and I showed up to see the Chippendales only to find the show had been cancelled. Now you can imagine the disappointment of the crowd at this point. However, the establishment explained they would honor our tickets for the rescheduled show AND advised that we could stay for a free comedy show that night and enjoy half price well drinks. SCORE! It was a tough crowd, a room full of hot horny women aching to tuck dollars and see skin - I couldn't resist staying just to see how the comedians were going to handle it! And I was glad I did. I'm quite sure the comics now have new material from the experience lol. Let's just say that when the crowd is chanting "take it off, take it off" the comedians eventually acquiesce and take something off - laughter AND SKIN... SCORE AGAIN! So the nitty gritty - the new location has a much more open waiting area and a restaurant to boot. I haven't tried the food yet so can't help you there. I received fairly quick service at the bar however for a big show on the weekend I would hope they might have extra assistance - I could foresee that service might be an issue if they didn't. When I originally called to make reservations, I left 2 voicemails with no return call before I decided just to drop in to the box office. The ladies at the box office were pleasant and courteous. And when I finally did receive a call back, 4 days after my original call, they promptly apologized for the delay. The establishment is not fancy smancy, so no need to dress to the nines. If you are from KC you already know this from past venues. You're there for the comedy not the ambience :) The ladies room in the show area is a single (but clean) so plan accordingly or step out to the one in the restaurant area as an alternative. I don't think they reserve seats per se but more like general areas... Near stage, middle, rear and prices for shows can vary based on that. For that reason if you want to have front row seats I recommend reserve accordingly, arrive early and check into the box office before enjoying dinner or drinks. I didn't really nab any review worthy pics but have some giggle worthy vids!

Have enjoyed Stanford and Sons for many years but was disappointed by the comedians this time. Staff was good. We were able to get in with just 2 hours notice. Great seats for the price. Unfortunately the 3 shows--2 openers and the headliner lasted less than 90 minutes total. Saw Steve Hytner. He was funny but not as funny as we had thought he would be. Will go back again but will hope for more laughs.

We came in for the dinner and a show deal. It's $75 for two people to have an entree each and reserved seat in the theater. I thought this was a great deal considering everything was included however, the food is awful. I had the southwest chicken sandwich and my husband ordered the shrimp poboy... Both are served with fries. Everything was basically in edible and left us very disappointed.

This comedic staple of KC just recently opened in Overland Park, with Craig Glazer as your affable host. One of our favorite comedians was part of the show (Brad Ellis); if you haven't seen his act, try to catch him! Find out where he's 'standing up' so to speak by checking the social network. ;) Kitchen wasn't yet open; the chips and salsa were fine for me, and $5. The margarita on the rocks was overpriced for what it was, in my opinion (Cuervo tequila, over $9; tasted like the Jose mix you get at the store). There is a two item minimum. Tip is not included (which is a good thing; the 'other' place seems to sneak it on the bill, for a party of ANY size, even 2). They are still working on things, and I hope they improve the sound system, as well as the 'crowd'. Various tables were allowed to talk loud enough to be heard 10 feet away, all through the show, and hecklers were not discouraged very quickly. Thankfully, after dealing with it for awhile, the comedian (J Chris Newberg) took care of her, quite well. He also had free CDs after the show. Some of the host's act as well as the headliner were hard to hear. Normally, if this was an established business it would receive less than three stars, but since it JUST opened, I'll stretch the benefit of the doubt some. It is nice to have options closer to/in JoCo, and they do get some national acts that are decent. Plus, I'm looking forward to the flower pot bread that we enjoyed at the Westport location years ago.

Just now getting around to writing a review. We were here in Feb. to see Dave Coulier. It was an awesome show. Hope to go again next year. The only problem was that we were seated arm to arm with the people next to us and the rows were so close the waitress could barely get to us. I get they cram people in there to make money but a little arm room would be nice.

I gave 4 stars even though food was terrible because we had an awesome time at the show. Colin Kane is hilarious! I Bought the dinner and a show package, $75 for 2 people and it includes $15 off entree only for each person (If you get $10 entree and a starter you only get $10 off. Kind of dumb.). Lady ordered orange shrimp it was pathetic, green beans were drenched in oil, easily 1/2 cup on bottom of plate and shrimp were served on orange slices but didn't taste orangy. I had the pork tenderloin sandwich and fries. It was actually pretty good but it has NOTHING on it. No lettuce tomato mayo horseradish, just a pork and bun. If u ordered again I'd ask for some toppings. The fries were soft and warm like they fry them in bulk at beginning of night and wait for people to order. It's a shame but go here for the show not for the food or you will be disappointed. Another plus is when finish your meal the waitress takes you right in and seats you in the showroom while everyone else is waiting in a huge long line.

Our first visit the waitress charged different prices for the same beer between 3 tables of ladies, I paid $9 for a beer some other girl paid $6 and another paid around $4.. That wasn't even the bad part, we went back last night and somehow I managed to drop my wallet at our table. Well a waitress was nice enough to turn it in, after she emptied it. Thanks for returning my wallet but I really would have appreciated the $200 I had in there to buy my glasses tomorrow for my birthday. This place is horrible if they allow such sketchy employees, two thumbs down.

Enjoyed a Saturday night show. Packed house. We had a large party, had reserved seats and were seated right up front. Good service throughout the show. The comedians were great. Nice way to spend a Saturday night if you are looking for something fun to do.
